2008 Annual Awards Dinner

The Indian River Chamber of Commerce held their 20th Annual Awards Dinner on Monday Evening, March 10th at the Indian River Golf Club. The Awards Dinner is an opportunity for the Chamber to recognize businesses and individuals in the community who have made a significant difference to the local society. Awards were given for the following:

Member of the Year: Inland Lakes Education Foundation
Given in recognition of a chamber member who has taken initiative to make a significant contribution and who has had a favorable impact in our community through volunteer excellence.

Member of the Year: Rebecca Behm, Executive Director and Richard deVore, Inland Lakes Education Foundation

Citizen of the Year: Pat and Jane McGinnis
Given in recognition of the person in our community who best exemplifies excellence in community service and leadership.

Citizen of the Year: Rebecca Behm, Executive Director, Pat McGinnis and Jane McGinnis

Organization of the Year: Arch Ministries, Inc.
Given in recognition of a member community service organization that has made a significant contribution and whose leadership accentuates the mission of the Indian River Chamber of Commerce.

Beautification: Burt Lake Preservation Association & Tuscarora Township for the Green Dock Project
Given in recognition of a chamber business that has made a significant contribution toward the beautification of the Indian River Area.
